Toronto daycare

Our role at East Toronto Village Children’s Centre is to promote the health, safety, nutritional and overall well rounded balance of each individual child. Furthermore, encouraging the children to interact with their teachers and with each other. Certainly, we can achieve this through our emphasis on having positive interactions between staff members, children, parents and members of the community. Upper Beaches Toronto daycare.

Non-Profit Toronto Daycare Centre

East Toronto Village Childcare Centre was incorporated in 1985 as a non-profit day care centre, due to, the area’s need for additional quality daycare.

Preschool and Toddler:

For that reason, our unique programs, with dedicated staff, are designed to accommodate these two age groups: Preschool (for children aged 2.5 to 4 years old) and Toddler (for 18 months to 2.5 year olds).

Programs are managed by Early Childhood Educators and administered by a voluntary Board of Directors. Our centre is inspected and licensed yearly by the Province of Ontario, under the requirements of the Day Nurseries Act. Also, we are inspected three times a year by Toronto Children’s Services to make sure, as a result, we meet the requirements of our Purchase of Service Agreement.
First of all, a Board of Directors is elected annually at a General Meeting. The Board is responsible for the major financial concerns and the policy direction of the Centre. Consequently, the board is consisting of parents of children in the daycare and interested members of the community. Therefore, all parents of children enrolled at the Toronto daycare are members of the Corporation. So, they are eligible to sit on the Board of Directors. Furthermore, parents are encouraged to bring their concerns and comments to the attention of the Board of Directors. All questions should be done through either the Centre’s Supervisor or a Board member.

Finally, it should be noted that, discrimination on the grounds of race, creed, colour, national origin, political or religious affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family relationships or disability is prohibited by or within our Toronto Daycare – East Toronto Village Children’s Centre.
